Subject: Front End Hitin Hard IP: Logged
Message: Hey guys I just installed chassis tech lower arms with the ground force 2/3 drop and took a leaf out of the back. I know taking the leaf out kills the ride and im gonna be geting the mono leaf but the front end hits really hard. Is there Any way I can fix this i know the coils on the spring are so close together now but is there any other way to save the ride so its not to bad. Mayb differnt struts?? Im more of a motor guy so suspension stuff is all new to me thanks.

Message: Did you get dropped shocks (cheap ones)? I dropped my front 3" with coils and the shocks i got were trash. And it hits pretty hard, espically over speed bumps and railroad tracks.
I suggest shocks (if they are stock). But otherwise, i'm not sure. I've never felt the ride of lower control arms.

Message: They are the shocks from the ground force kit, maybe since that shock was ment for a 2 inch drop and now its like a 4inch i guess its just bottoming out.

Message: Maybe I can help. Search my posts over the last few months. I too installed the Ground Force kit for my 02 CC R/T (2/2 drop) and wasn't very happy. First the instructions said cut a 1/2 inch off the front bump stops. Yeah right, went home from my buddies shop, looked under my front end and suspension still sitting on the stops even after cut. Step two, cut more.....still not enough. Step three, cut more, still not enough. I know our roads up here in Toronto Ontario are pretty good but even on fair sized dips/breaks in the road......it was harsh.(Metal to metal was hitting as it was visible!!) Finally after two months of being dissatisfied, I fixed it. I ordered another set of the rubber spring pads from Chrysler, made my own 5/8 inch spacers our of high dollar expensive and very dense rubber matting i had at work and contact cemented them on to the spring spacer. Just installed them this past week and believe me, 5/8'' makes all the difference. The stance is still awesome with the rear approx 3/4 of an inch higher than the front just the way I like it. All that banging is gone and sure it's not good for the trucks front end/suspension components, not to mention alignment eventually. Ride is very good now, still have the Ground Force springs and Ground Force shocks up front. Back to smiling and enjoying the ride
