Message: Did you cut down your u-bolts? If not, you should do that. I have 4" blocks in the back, and still have 4 or 5" of clearance with stock tires and rims.

Message: well the u bolts that i used short to beging with and the nut is all thats there so you think that i should be fine with a 205/50/15.

Message: Depends on how much smaller the over all tire is going to be. If it's .5 inch smaller all the way around, and your u-bolts are .5 inches off the ground, then you're in trouble.

Message: right now i have american racing wheels 15x8 and 255/60/15 and it rubs like hell and is ripping my tire up. Is there a 60 series tire that is smaller that i could get, or do you think that shocks are going to help me out. I took all my bump stops out and it rides better but maybe my problem is i need to get those stock socks out of there.

Message: When does it rub like hell? All the time? or just when driving?
If you don't want to rub, i'd go with a smaller tire...like a 55 series or 50 series.

Message: i cant really go that low i drive my truck all the time and i have those kind of tires before on my probe and they suck in the winter so you dont think that i can get a smaller tire on my truck with the 60 series

Message: Well, the 60 is the percentage of the tire walls, to the width of the tire. So by definition, you can't go any smaller with a 60 series unless you get a skinnier rim. So there really isn't anything else you can do, except raise your truck or get smaller tires...or modify your fenders.
