I have Hotch. drop leafs and I want to get back some hauling capacity .

I only have 2.375" of travel from bump-stop to axle which is fine with no load, but I'll be moving (1400 miles away) and will need to haul quite a bit of xtra weight(700 lbs. maybe)
and it will bottom out .

what kind of helpers should I use ride-rite air sleeves($175),air-lift air sleeves($165) or roadmaster active susp.(don't know price).

I don't want it any stiffer than it is now during regular driving thats why I'm leaning towards one of the air springs.
do the roadmasters stiffen constantly, also whats the cost.

I have the roadmaster on mine and have been really satiified with it. I don't have it with the hotchkis drop though. There are several people on this board who do and they talk highly of the RAS/hotchkis combo. The RAS will lift the back end probably around half an inch and many people report carrying decently heavy loads with the system. I've only had a chance to carry about 200lbs in the back of mine since I put it on a few weeks ago. You'll need longer U-bolts from what I understand to make that combo work. Look around on the net and you'll probably find the RAS for around $200. I'm probably going to get the hotchkis drop here soon I hope. Kinda in the middle of home improvement so I've got to slow down on the mods a bit.

So it actually makes it stiffer whether you have a load in or not ?

The hotch. leafs are plenty stiff as it is ,and I don't want to raise the back at all.

I very seldom haul anything over 100-200 lbs.,
mainly need it for this one time deal, so I think one of the air bag setups are the way to go for what I need.
You can pump them up when you need them and deflate (10 psi min. I think)when you don't,and should have the same ride as normal.
