Does it make any difference if the lowering blocks are made of aluminum or steel?

I have heard on these boards that alum. blocks are prone to cracking .

before I got my hotch. leafs I had ground force 2" blocks and they were cast iron .

I only had them on for 2 months and they didn't crack in that time.

I you were to make blocks out of SOLID alum.(not cast) I'm sure they would hold up .

BTW I got my 2" blocks from summit racing $40 for everything I think it was.
they were not pinion corrected as they claimed.

i myself have only seen aluminum blocks break on jacked up trucks with axles under leaf springs.

if you get aluminum, make sure it at least has a steel pin in it.
