Message: I have heard on these boards that alum. blocks are prone to cracking .
before I got my hotch. leafs I had ground force 2" blocks and they were cast iron .
I only had them on for 2 months and they didn't crack in that time.
I you were to make blocks out of SOLID alum.(not cast) I'm sure they would hold up .
BTW I got my 2" blocks from summit racing $40 for everything I think it was.
they were not pinion corrected as they claimed.

Message: i myself have only seen aluminum blocks break on jacked up trucks with axles under leaf springs.
if you get aluminum, make sure it at least has a steel pin in it.
