I'm just about to get a 3/5 drop from DJM. Was wondering if I'm gunna regret getting control arms or not, and if i can do this drop without rubbing my stock wheels (15inch). I was also thinking about getting Nitro Drop shocks, or toxics wanting a stiff ride. Any suggestions would help a lot! Thanks guys

I did a 3/5 drop on my 97 using the 3" control arms. The arms do bring it down a full 3" and don't rub w/ my 27" tall tire. From the ground to the front wheelwell is about 29". So, that may tell you if yours will rub.
The decreased turning radius is something you'll get used to with the arms. no biggie

I did the nitro shocks and they are good.

Instead of using the shackles and hangers i would go with the drop leafs from belltech and a 2" block. You can get them for the same price and it's a hell of a lot less work.

I have a belltech 3/5 drop, and the stock tires will more than likely rub a little. I used 2 inch arms and a 1 inch spring, and the stock tires are a little over 28" tall. I have a 255/55/R17, which is exactly 28" tall, and i get slight rubbing on highway and interstate drives.

I have the djm 3" control arms and 5" hangers. Id recomend it. I have the stock 16's w/ the 29" tire and i put taller bumpstops on and now i rarely rub and the bump stops do not resist the suspension at all. Works great. You can get most of your steering back. There are tabs on the arm that stop the spindle from turning too far, you can grind it down a bit and get most of your steering back. I have the toxic shocks which are ok, but i would like sum stiffer ones. Take it easy

I had stock 15's on my 3/6 drop no rubbing
problems, they scuffed the fender well
(Plastic part) occasionally, but no harm no
foul...about the 3" arms. If I had to do it again I
would have done 2" arms and 1" springs so I
could adjust the camber/caster completely.
you will end up with negative camber, but not
enough to worry about.

and yes, you will have to re-route your exhaust
as high as possible above the frame. after I
put in the extra 1" block, I just dumped the
exhaust before the axle.

With the 3" control arms, how much steering do you actually loose? I want a 3/4 drop, but I'm also short on cash. I heard the best 3" front drop is 2" arms and 1" coils, but to save some money, I'm looking into just the 3" arms.

i'd say like a turn or a turn and a half on the wheel. it is bearable though, you get used to it quick...just not as many u-turns in your future
