Subject: airbags with no pump? IP: Logged
Message: I would like to know if it is possible to put airbags on the front to lower my truck but without a pump or tank. I've only seen them in magazines and have a general idea how they work. My idea was that maybe I could put just a short hose on it with an air valve. Anyone know if this will work?

Message: No reason why it wouldn't work. It's just inconvinient to have to do that is all.

Message: Unless you want to go to a gas station every time you want to fill up your airbags I would suggest getting a compressor and air tank. If you have an air compressor at home for your air tools you could fill up at home. You just need a schrader(sp?) valve, almost like on a tire, connected to air hose that goes to your bags. I used to have this in my Nissan truck to fill up the air shocks in the rear.
