Subject: air bag and fender wells IP: Logged
Message: can anyone tell me if on the dodge dakotas if you have to relocated the fender wells in order to lay it on frame, i am running 17" 245/45/r17 tires, any help would be helpful

Message: With such a small wheel size, I doubt it cause you will hardly be tucking anything but tire but that is a fat tire, to be on the safe side you should go 205/40 I know for sure will not rub. You have to keep in mine that the Dakota's fender wells are very shallow and won't let you tuck hardly anything so I would say aired all the way down your inner fenders will sit on them tires cause of the profile. Also you won't lay frame unless you do something with the crossmember in front. I just left mine in place cause it helps protect the oilpan when I'm scraping. Mine is a 94 with a 318 so different years/ size engines might have different clearance.
