i have 255/55/17 tires (same as r/t) on my truck right now and i wanna lower it 2/3, but the tires stick out, so im wondering if its gonna look funny if i lower it...i know the r/t has fender flares which cover the wheels sticking out..anybody have pics of a dropped dakota with a similar sized tire? thanks

I have BFG 275/60-15's (28"diameter 10 or 11" wide) plus 3/8" spacers behind wheels and a 2/2 drop (hotch.leafs coming monday for 2/3 drop)on my 99 sport.I think it looks good but thats a matter of opinion. theres some low rent web cam pics here http://photos.yahoo.com/loserloser2
couldn't afford digicam due to $260.00 leaf springs

u think i havent thought about buyint the fender flares? i havent seen them for under 250 bucks..plus i would imagine ud have to paint them..kinda a lot of money for something i dont even really want..

my grandmother is 56 years old and has heart problems and kidney problems. She needs a kidney transplant and it is going to cost over a $100,000. We need donations even 1 doller would help. Please send trough mail to p.o box 44 Exeter Maine, to joshua porter. Then I will put this money into the safe at my grandmother hospital to pay off the transplant. She need the tranplant before 8/0/03. at about that time her kindneys will shut down. All and any donations will be thanked through a post card sent back to you.

the flares are 250 painted. i had 255/45 18's and i got flares because i didnt like how it looked but it is all your opinion on how it looks. now i am running 225/40's and i like them a lot. i am also selling the 255/45's for 300 bucks for the whole set. if anynone wants them.

You can get the flares Painted for under 200.00 from soemn dealers. I pain 190 for mine for the set.

The 255/55R17's will sit flush with the outside of the flares. I have a 3/4 drop on mine with the R/T wheels and tires, and I think it looks mean. I can send pix if you give me your E-mail.

I have 275/50/17 on R/T wheels w/o flares and it looks fine.. they do stick out about 1/2inch. This is with a Hotchkis suspension kit.. they say a 2/4 but it's closer to 3/5. Looks fine, I like it better w/o the fender flares.
