Subject: How much notch needed? IP: Logged
Message: I have an 03 qc and bags are the next step. I want to keep the stock bed floor but also want to lay outin front and in the back. I am in the process of reviewing tire sizes to help me do this. SO far the lowest profile 16 ive found is a 225-40-16. ~24" tall which will leave me about 4-5 inches from the ground. Can this be done without hacking the bed?

Message: with that small of a tire you wont have a problem. i have 18's with 225/40 and i have a 2ich gap between the fender and tire and my frame is 2 inches off the ground so you could just bag and notch it.

Message: Thanks, lowdaksport. I still have some checking to do before everything gets pieced together. Damn, until now I didnt realize how much 1" valves, fittings and hose cost. Question is will it be quick?

Message: On a large wheel that will tuck when laying frame you will need at least a 40mm offset. Almost all wheel brands make them in sizes ranging from 10-20mm so the best choice is to get it customized. Either drilling out for your bolt pattern or going to boze alloy or boyd coddington and they can make any offset/bs you want.
