Most steering columns are built collapsable in case of a wreck and will still work with a modest bodydrop upto 2-3inches. More than that and you have to cut and relocate it up higher in the firewall. Have you decided how you will do the bed since it doesn't sit on bushings? or will you have the cab sitting lower by itself. Also there are some tight spots underthere that you don't won't rubbing. For instance the tranny tunnel. If your floor touches this you will vibrate into a frenzy everything you drive the thing. Have a case of tylenol on hand. Also how will you move the front bumper down to match the drop since its bolted to the frame. I'm not an expert at bd's but I was just observing mine out in the driveway after reading this question.

thanks for the info. A buddy of mine already told me about the steering Though. you are right about the tranny tunnel, there is not much room. When i first did it i took the mounts right out,and it looked sweet but the tranny did hit and the bumper
would'nt line up. so i cut a hockey puck in half and brought it back up maybe a half inch. It quit shaking and the bumper lines up now. Might sound
stupid but it looks cool.it makes the gap between the grill and the bumper smaller but still looks
good. The bumper is mounted to the frame so you can slide it down to adjust it. if i notch out those holes a little more to get my gap back ,my bumper will only be about an inch off the ground
,but the road around here suck and i just end up wrecking it.

Sounds like it might look cool....put some pics up of it. I didn't know you could adjust the bumper. What did you do to lower the bed? I couldn't think of anything and I thought it would look funny with just the cab sitting lower. I also noticed on mine that the fuel line changes directions midstream under the truck and runs btwn the frame and floor so you don't want the floor sitting on and squishing it. Well I though about this and then I said....naah too much work, might as well go ahead with a real bodydrop.
