Message: I had a 3/5 on my '98 until I went with bags. I really liked the 3/5 on my truck. It gave the truck a nice low appearance, but also had a nice ride to it. It didn't require notching the frame, but the rear sway bar bracket on my rear end did smack the exhaust from time to time, but I never hit the frame on any type of road. If your interested in the drop, I still have the drop kit and would probably sell it, or if you don't want to go that low I have 2" Western Chassis control arms that I'd like to get rid of. Just let me know and I'll give you my e-mail address. Later.

Message: hey casdak...I just added a 1" block in the rear
of my dak, making it sit 3-6, I put an after
market 3" exhaust on, are the sway bar
brackets you are talkin about on top of the rear
axle tubing, angled like a shock bracket? I
wanted to torch them off, but wasnt sure if
those were mounts for a sway bar that I could
add later.

Message: Hey D, yes those are the brackets I'm talking about. My Dakota already had the factory sway bar installed so I'm not to sure if aftermarket sway bars use the factory mounting brackets. That may be a question best left for someone who has used an aftermarket company for their sway bar.
Oh yeah, kickaskey, just let me know when you are interested in the drop kit. I'm sure I'll be around here from time to time, so just post a message for me to look at. Later fellas.

Message: I have a '97' Sport CC with the 5.2, 2WD. I'd like a 2/4 drop with emphasis on quality ride not cornering. Western Chassis or DJM seem to be the only options that have 2" A arms. Which one is better? Does anyone have either setup for sale? Thanks, David

previous post where a guys western chassis
a arm broke...he said they were only tack
welded...I think DJM has better welds, look
virtually indestructible to me, and friggin heavy
too!

Message: Thanks, D. Hey CASDAK, do you still have your DJM and Western Chassis kits? I'd be interested. Also, I've heard that the ball joints are riveted to the facory A arms and are a bear to remove. Should I just buy new ball joints to make the job easier? David

Message: Hey David,
Yes the ball joints are riveted and buying new ball joints is a great idea. In fact, if you order A-arms from Western Chassis, they will sell you a pair of ball joints. I wish they would have thrown them in to the deal, but they didn't.
I still have the DJM kit and it is for sale. It consists of 3" coils and 5" shackles and hangers. Just let me know if your interested

Message: I'll take $200 for the kit and I'll even throw in the shocks. I ran the kit for one year with no problems. You wil have to buy some new bolts and nuts for the front hangers. I used those for the Air Ride 4-link hangers, but some good grade 8 bolts should do the trick.

Message: CASDAK,
Do you still have your DJM kit?
I just ran across your postings and I have a
new 2002 AWD Quad Sport R/T.
If you still have your kit and do you see any
problems with me putting
it on this model?
I will be adding 20's soon and do not want to
go too low.
Do I just need to buy A arms to finish this off
right or install as is?
Keys to this being right for me, 1st cornering
most important and some
ride quality still there.
Some light towing so I cannot lower it too
much in rear.
I tried your email first and it came back.
Thanks, Mike mike@gsrbikes.com
