Subject: Eibach Springs IP: Logged
Message: I have a 97 Dakota CC with the 3.9. I want to do a 2/3 or 2/4 drop. I know that Hotchkis is good, but are pretty pricy. I saw that Eibach makes coils for them now. I know that they make great stuff for cars, but have not heard anything about thier truck springs. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experiance with them.
Thanks,
Nick

Message: I've got them on my 00 Dak. They're great - progressively wound, unlike the Hotchkis - so they are soft at first for bumps, but hard as the truck gets to swayin'.
Replace the balljoints while you've got it apart. I did the uppers and I wish I'd done the lowers at the same time.
You'll have some bump-steer with them, but any lowered coil will do that on the Gen III Daks.
Chop the bump stop in half up front, or you'll only have about an inch of travel!
