I'm sure this subject has been beat to
death, but here it goes. I've got a '99 reg. cab ,
V-6, long box Dakota. I've just ordered 15X9
Factory R/T wheels and P255/55/R17 tires. My
question is what kind of a drop should I put on
it to sit like a factory R/T? I was even
considering going slightly lower, maybe an
inch. I just want to make sure it's done right
and that I have no rubbing problems. Any Pics
of a simillar drop/wheel combo would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How low can I go and not rub with 17X9's? Thanks

i have a 99 v6 with 17x9 inch wheels on it. i just put a set of contol arms that lower it 2" in front, and a set of blocks that lower the back 3". so far, everything is well. there is no rubbing. it looks pretty sweet. it might be a little lower than the R/T, but it looks good. i will have pictures up within the next week

I have a set of R/T coils and 2" blocks for sale....

R/T front coil springs (1" drop) and 2" blocks for the rear. The U-bolts will fit the 8.25 rear axle but not the 9.25. If you have the 9.25 axle you'll have to get wider U bolts from a parts store. Prolly run ya around $20 bucks.

I was gonna put this under my '02, but decided to take advantage of the Hotchkis group buy instead.

First $100 takes it, $15 shipping. I'll eat anything over that, and refund anything under.

'02 Sport 4.7 auto, Gibson exhaust, homebrew K&N cold air, 275/60 BFG Radial T/A's, Infinity CD w/Pioneer & Infinity spkrs & Kenwood powered sub.
