Subject: I got air IP: Logged
Message: I finally got my Air Ride Tech. front kit. I have to get the shock mounts welded at work but I have a problem. I can not assemble the kit at work. What would be the best way to go about it? Is it possible to have the shock mounts welded at work, then be able to drive home with the regular suspention still intact then assemble the rest at home? What would someone suggest with this. Also does anyone have this kit, and how is it?

Message: Why don't you just mount the bags then drive the truck to the shop without shocks and mount it then

Message: pappie's idea sounds good. BUT, do u have the shockwave kit from ART?? they have the shocks thru the bags, so u wouldnt have to relocate em; if not, nevermind. all i know about ART is that they make the shockwaves.
but if u have to relocate the shocks; like he said, just bag it first and drive it to work to put the shocks later. it wont hurt it, just wont ride as good.
Peace

Message: Never thought of it that way. Yea I bet that would work. Also a few more questions to those of you who have the ART kit (not the shockwaves) or know about it. How is the steering with the relocated shocks? I have 17x8" wheels with 245/45/17 tires. Also will I tuck? Its not that big of a deal if I dont but, I have seen a few Daks online with air and the wheels tilt in when bags are deflated. I have a sport with R/T flares put on, will this effect it? Lastly how much pressure will it take to get it to raise? I have the v6.

Message: 1. you'll hit shock if you crack it all the way so pay attention to your steering
2. front will tuck a little but the back will hit. unless you got drop arms, the back of the frame will hit and the sway bar will hold you up about 1/4" from the ground and you can still drive. keep that in mind if you try and steer
3. 65 psi
