I have a '99 Dakota, reg. cab, long box, 6cyl.
Everything is totally stock. I just bought some factory
17x9 R/T wheels to replace the standard 15's that are on
it now. I'm wondering what tires to put on it. Looking at
other posts, I'm leaning towards P255/55R17's. Am I
going to run into any clearence problems? If not what
would be a good mild drop for it. I live in the Northeast
and want to keep it practical for the road conditions
around here. If anybody has any pics of similar
modifications, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

hey scott..i have a 99 cc with the 17x9 chrome rt's..i was running with those tires and a djm drop 2 inch up front and 3.5 in the back..looked pretty sweet...ive moved on to the 20x9 rt's ....check out the link at the bottom
..by the way..im in new jersey...where are you?

what I'm looking for. I live in Warren, Pa. Since you live
in Jersey, I'm sure you can relate to the road conditions.

jeff your truck looks sweet with those rims man!!!! What size tires do you run on em? 35's 40's 45's??? Do you rub at all! I was thinkin about gettin those!

Kool scott your just a state away..Im runnin 275/45's drew..and thanks...yes the front do rub often...but the front is floaty with the shocks...yes i have the rims..and r for sale...e mail me

you think jeff with a 40 side wall and a 3" drop in the front rubbing would be a big problem....and is it a problem for you??
