Subject: Spring Compressors IP: Logged
Message: I am in the process of lowwering my 99 dodge dakota and I dont know how to use my spring compressors. There are two of them and they seem to go on the outside of the springs. What do I do.

Message: what do you need a spring compressor... the springs on the front of the dak aren't overly long, put a jack under the lower control arm, disconnect the sway bar, shock, and spindle... slowly lower the jack down... it will lose tension way before the arm is completely down... no this is not rigged up, I have done it many times on my truck and when we lowered 01Blackdak's truck... I'm serious, it's not going to shoot across the yard and kill anyone.
