Message: If u get the hotchkis kit, it will drop the front 1.5 inches and the back 2.5 inches. i think thats the best way for handling and looks.

Message: hotchkis does NOT ride good at all! their suspension is very good for perforance and handles very good but has a very stiff ride. hangers/shackles ride best in the rear with drop shocks and a-arms ride best in the front with drop shocks.

Message: Matt have you had a R/T lowered w/ Hotchkis? The Hotchkis system is great, and it will lower the front 1.5" and the rear 2.5" to 2.75". I got the coils and leafs for $400, next will be the Bilsten shocks at $85 each. ouch..

Message: EMAK, I checked out the dealers on the Bilstein website and all off the listings were for standard height suspensions.
Don't the shocks need to be shorter for a lowered application?

Message: Evil, I think with 2" control arm you would use stock height shock as travel stays same, if using 1"-1.5" shorter spring stock shock may still be alright, shorter than that probably would require shorter shock.

Message: The Bilstiens used on the Hotchkis kit are custom tuned for Hotchkis, and can only be bought from Hotchkis. Trying to find them cheaper elsewhere is a waste of time. As far as the ride quaity of the Hotchkis kit, when combined with the Biltiens shocks., I must say it rides awsome for a lowered truck. I ridden in trucks lowered with control arms, shackles, and blocks(not all three, but different combinations) and they are rode a lot worse than my Hotchkised R/T. And the Hotchkis kit only lowers the front 1" and the rear 1.5-2". I measured mine before and after so I know the difference.
