Yesterday I got home from driving to the store I look at my front end and found a crack on the weld on my a arm. The a arm was just tack welded not welded all the way through.If I would have drove another couple mile that weld on the a arm would have gave. I took it off and bent it back and welded reinforcements around it. Keep an I on your suspension once you go low.

Do any of you know if they have improved upon
their original welds/design? I am about to put on
the a-arms and I don't want any problems, I can be
very hard on my truck.

That Roots!!!! Did you talk to the company about it? I'm sure they would have hooked you up. Thats all I heard from western was that everything was crap exept thier stuff. Having a cracked A-arm from them would have atleast raised thier eyebrows about thier welding job! I would have tooken them to the cleaners about it..... maybe even demand a free teeshirt(amongs other things)!!! Go talk to THE MAN!!!!
If you got proof about a companies flagship part taking a dump on you under reg loads..... usually they will send you free junk to shut you up! HE!!, you could at least came out with a mug or a sticker!

yeah...unless you did a v-10 swap, or some
mad off roading!??? then send them
back...threaten to send the a-arm to one of
their competitors...you might get a whole new
suspension setup free.

Its already fixed my neighbor is a professional welder, and I already have airride so I wouldn't need a new suspension. I just couldn't believe they were only tack welded. I expected that to come from AIM. But both of them are now highly reinforced so this probably won't happen again.
