Message: I was thinkin about the same thing. Right now i am lowered 3/5 on stock 16" wheel/tires and they are 29" tall and they rub every once in a while. I believe the 265/35/22 is a 28.3" tire. So im thinkin you could go a 3/5 with them but put big bump stops on the control arms. Thinkin about it that way i am pretty sure you could do a 2/4 easily. But is there enough tire on those to daily drive it?

Message: I made a mistake there, the 265/35/22 is actualy about a 29.4" tall tire. I was thinking of 265/30/22. You should be able to do a 2/4 though because that is about the same hight as the 275/45/20 and they are doing 2/4's on that. BlackDak01 just did a 2/4 on the 275/45/20 i believe. He said that it rubbed on a really bumpy freeway but not that much. Do you already have the 22's? If that is a yes have you had any problems with the 265/35's? My friends tahoe is on 305/45/22 and he was driving on the freeway an dhis tire randomly blew out. like 500 bux later he had a new one on his truck. I was actualy thinking about 265/30/22's to fit under my 3/5. Those are another inch or so smaller than the 265/35/22. I am not sure that the tire will last under daily driving. Can anyone prove me wrong?

Message: It all depends on the back-spacing of the wheel. If it is the right # then you can drop it as low as you want to go.

Message: So chris what are you saying? If he has the right backspacing he can go as low as he wants? Wrong...if he has the right backspacing on thoughs 22's he still can't go lower than 3/5...so if i get 24's do you think i can lower it 5/7? LOL..just giving you a hard time..lol.

Message: Pirelli 265/30/22's. They are 28.25 tall and 10.43 wide. Right now they are hard to get. That is a popular size for Impala ss for the 22 inch fitment. The tires are pretty pricy. Good luck.

Message: hey man. glad to see someone else with 22's.......
i'm lowered 3/5 but overall i do think i raised it up a little do to rubbing with my old 20's. a 2/3 kit would work great. the only thing you may have to do is to get larger bumpstops so you don't hit the fender. i'm running a 285-35zr22 nittos on it. if you want any pics let me know. later on man. also i want some pics if you get any . tony22@mminternet.com
