I would like to know if anyone makes a 3" rear shackle mount for our trucks? I found a 2" shackle mount from western chassis and I've found adjustable hangers but know 3" shackle mount. I was told that if I use the 2" shackle mount I would not need shims for the pinion angle, but if I used just the adjustable hangers I would have to use the shims, does this sound right? I would like to stay away from the hangers because of the gas tank and the extra trouble it will involve compared to the rear shackle mounts. Thanks!

well if the adjustable shackles your talking about are from chassis tech, dont get em. ive personally had experience with em and they suck. they say theyre adjustable up to 4", there not. you can only go so high with the shackle before it hits the bed. depending on how low you wanna go in the rear, i would just use the 2" shackles or the hanger. i have the hanger and a 3" block on my 98 SC and it dropped like 5-6". looks good though.
