I am looking for some used spring shackles and mounts for a 3-4 inch rear drop. I also need a used (non r/t) right lower control arm. I have a 97 Dakota (I guess you figured that out from my name!) Drop me a line or post here. I have some other things that I may trade like a pair of new euro corners and some good headlight assemblies. i also have some blue and amber pilot foglights (new in box). Thanks!!

I have a set of DJM 5inch shackle n hanger kit used for 3 months before i bagged my truck, its for 97-2003, it was on my 2002, i have pics if anybody want to see how low it was, kit was $174 off stylinconcepts.com, but i will let it go cheap, just email me for pics or offers thanks.

lol, yeah it's c_avellino@hotmail. it's a belltech kit that's supposed to have 4" of drop but it actually lowered my 01 club cab 4 1/2". e-mail me with an offer, everthing is there except the hardware to mount the hangers to the frame (i needed to use those to put my stock ones back on). i have a set of rear toxic shocks also.

hey, what kind of "hardware" does one use to mount shackles and hangers? just home depot bolts? or is it better to have them welded in? and how hard is it to grind off the stock rivets? thanks

the "hardware" consists of grade 8 fine thread bolts, nuts, and washers. i don't see the point of trying to weld them in. it would be pretty hard and kind of pointless, but to each his own. as far as getting off the rivets, they're a pain in the @ss. i used a die grinder to cut the heads in half and then air chisled them off. after i got the heads off i just knocked the rest of the rivet out with a hammer and punch. unless you want to put c-notch in drop hangers are no good cause they make the truck ride like sh!t unless you like bottoming out on every bump in the road
