Subject: Do I need new sway bars with drop ?

I am planning to do a 3/5 drop. Do I have to have new sway bars? I want to put the Hotchkis sway bars on it, but the price is a little steep and I really want to get the drop done. Any info is appreciated.

when i first dropped mine, i had the stock 15" wheels on it, but i dropped it a little more than 3". I had to remove the factory sway bar cuz it scraped the inside of the wheels when i turned all the way to either side. i don't know if the hotchkis one takes care of this problem, but it should. it may depend how you're dropping it too. with springs, like i did, you'll have this problem. with arms, u may not. YOU COULD have the sway bar endlinks shortened(they connect the bars to the arms. this would take care of it too.
of course, if u have bigger rims (18s, mayve 17s) u might not have this problem. Once i put my 18s on, the swaybar went right back on, no problem. Hope this helps.
Peace
-Dan
