Message: okay...i have the 2000 dodge dakota R/T and i have done a whole lot of work to the engine. now it's time to move outside and work on the suspension. my baby is show quilty but it is a daily car in the late spring, summer and early fall. i wanna drop my R/T as low as possible with a confident ride knowing that my tires won't rub or that i'll have any problems. please let me finish my ride before the summer days....feedback please.

Message: Eric,
What shocks are you running with the 4/6 drop? Did you have to remount or relocate the rear shocks for more shock travel? The fronts only lose 2" of travel due to the coils. The lowered a-arms doesn't affect the travel length of the shock, right? The rears are losing 6" of travel which seems very lopsided compared to the fronts. I'm considering dropping my truck 2" more front and back (2.5/4 now), but wondered about shocks for this setup. Oh, 2.5" front might sound wierd but my coils dropped more than the advertised two inches.

Message: Rob K- I have a 99 RT and recently dropped mine. I went with the Western Chassis 2"-4", and then bought 2" lowering coils. I used this setup because it doesnt take away from the factory lowering in the rear. The rear kit uses shackle mounts and hangers which when combined allow for an adjustable drop of 4"-4.5"-5". In the end I got the look of a 4"-6" drop. For shocks I went with Doestch Tech all the way around. I havent had any problems with it except for the fact that I needed to get a C-Notch since it was so low in the rear. I didnt have a problems with drive line vibrations, but every truck is different.
Good Luck,
Brian
