Subject: ? About Coils spring and control arm? IP: Logged
Message: I have the hotchkis 2" lowering springs on the front of my truck and it sits higher in the front than the back. 3" springs in the back. The truck rides rough. But I still have stock shocks all the way around. I wanted to know if I put 2" control arms on the front would that help the ride out a lot or should I just put diffrent shocks on there and see if that help. I will put the stock coil springs back on the front of course. Also might this switch actually set the front down like it is suppost to be.

Message: If u just put the springs in, wait a little till they settle & the front should drop alittle more. Also, i've heard that the hotchkis leaf springs come with shims that will drop it more than 3", but u don't have to use them. But as for the rough ride, get drop shocks! i like Doetsch Tech. all 4 shocks will still cost less than control arms($160 @www.sporttruckdirect.com). The arms will maintain stock ride, but you lose some turning radius. plus u already have the springs and arms are expensive. Hope this helps.

Message: with the Hotchkis springs and their bump stops you really can't go much lower with stock wheels unless you get some small tires... mine is about 1/4 inch away from rubbing when on the bump stops... I have 275/50/17 all around... full Hotchkis Kit... personally I think any lower makes it a pain for a daily driver..

Message: Does anyone in here have a v6 Dak and got the full 2" drop with the Hotchkis springs in the front? Because, I am looking into getting the kit from all the good feedback.

Message: The springs have been on my truck for about two months. I have all ready cut the bump stops. It still sits higher. I made sure they were set in the control arm the right way.
