Subject: Got the new slam specialties on IP: Logged
Message: Finally after weeks and weeks of rain and still more rain to come to the south I got my new bags put in. I finally found my air leak....it was in the shotty air line hose from Lowe's. I repeat don't buy any air hose from there. Its double reinforced and the inner lining breaks and seaps and will let your truck lose gobs of air pressure and is a mother to track down. Just do the right thing and get dot hose like i did the second time. The new slam specialty bags lift my truck twice as high as phoenix bags but they won't let it sit as low. The phoenix bags let the truck sit about an inch lower but the slam's raise it over 5 more inches than the phoenix. I finally got all my switches and valves installed. 3/8 inch valve and hose with a vliar 100% duty compressor is all you need to lift a 318 in a dakota. My front almost hops now when I hit the switches. It takes about 3-4 seconds max to hit 120 psi in the front. My driving height now is about 40 psi in the back and 80 in the front. I will try to get picks up as soon as possible. Looks sweet tucking 20's in the fenders on a Gen II. Catch ya later.
