Message: alright guys, i have finally decided on 4" hangers/shackles. I am not sure whether to go with 2" a-arms yet. I want a 3" drop in the front of my R/T. So if i got 2" a-arms, how would i get that other 1"? If i got another 1" coil, would that do it for a total of a 3" drop?
I also have seen R/T's that have been lowered 4" in front and 5" in rear. If i did that, would i bottom my truck out all the time. I am getting shocks. Thanks
Matt

Message: in order to lower your r/t 3 inches you will need 2 inch a-arms and 2 inch coil springs. r/t's have 1 inch coils from factory, so a 2 inch spring will yield 1 inch lower for an r/t. as far as the 5 inch drop in front ive seen it done with stock wheels but tires sizes were 245-50-17 and it looked good.....i will post pics of my 2003 r/t soon with 2 inch arms, 2 inch coil springs in front and 3 inch leafs and 2 inch blocks in rear...~Ken

Message: ...93venom... I'm considering the same kind of drop on my 2000 Quad Cab. How does your 4"/5" drop ride? does it bottom out??? or do you need to take everything slow. 'cause slow SUCKS! Another question (and this may be pointless): Can you still haul anything?
