Subject: Got an Inch???

Message:
I have a 2000 dodge dakota which is lowered 2 inches in the front with coils and 2 inches in the back with lowering blocks. I also have toxici shocks to smoothin the ride out a little. My question is how can i go lower and keep these componets i have on rigth now??? I know in the front i could probaly get spindles, would that interfer with my lowering coils i have right now? What about that back new leafs? Any in put on how i could get an extra inch or two with out sacrifcing the 2 inches i have rigth now, and without having to buy a whole new 3/5 lowering kit would be appreciated.

ANYWAY, first of all, they don't make spindles for the newer dakotas. You'd have to buy control arms, for about $200+. If i understand right, it's dropped 2/2 now, and u want 3/5?? is this right?
For the back, for 3 more inches, i'd recommend hangers, not sure on prices tho. alot of people have em and recommend them. Not too expensive, but a little work to put em in cuz u have to cut out the rivets. Or u could get drop leaf springs; a little more money i think, and the ride'll be stiffer.
In front, for only an inch more drop, I'd (STRESSING I, B/C ALOT OF PEOPLE DON'T LIKE DOING WHAT I DID) just cut between 1/2 and 1 coil (round) off the springs. i cut mine cuz it's the easiest, cheapest way to get that extra inch, and haven't had problems; but many people dont like to cut springs. (Also, in back, I have 3" blocks with a leaf taken out for about 5 or 5 1/2". I really should try to measure that someday.)
But listen to what I'm sure other people will have to say about cutting springs, and what they suggest. Hope this helps.
