i want to get the 20 inch r/t rims, but i want to drive with them all year round, and i live in michigan, does anyone know if the salt will effect the chrome on them? or should i get the silver ones, also do you think the silver ones would look ok? let me know what you think thanx

yeah, chrome would look really better but the salt might fade the color after a few years if u dont wipe them off. Silver ones would look good, but not as good. I live in Indiana and have seen chrome rims that have faded due to people not cleaning them in the winter. if u clean the rims off weekly or even daily, they wont fade and they will still look brand new. just spend another $5-600 and get yourself some POS rims and good winter tires.

dont get mad when i post "told ya so" in the thread you start on how you trashed your $2000 - 20" rims when you hit a curb because someone cut you off in the snow.

ok one more thing, are there any issues with salt and polished rims that anyone has heard about? i dont see that there would be but just wondering, because the salt shouldnt effect the alluminum, thanx in advance, let me know

salt can make polished rims look like sh*t, but thats if u dont clean them EVER. I like polished rims, u dont need to worry about cleaning them everyday and they look good too. i'd go with 20" polished rims to tell u the truth. cheaper, just as good as look, and no everyday cleaning required.
