Subject: What's nice about rice. IP: Logged
Message: The other night I was on the way home from work and was behind two ricers that were racing.
They raced from two different lights. When the light turned green, both "popped" their clutches and did embarrasing wheel hopping spin outs. I followed behind as they wound up their "Honda 50s" to about 6000 RPM before shifting.
After getting spanked both times, one of them turned off and as a result, I was beside the "winner" at the next light. Well... I couldn't resist.
He revved his up and I had to put mine in neutral and let him know I was attentive.
The light turned and he laid his "burn out" on me. I got on it just enough to catch up and stay slightly ahead of him so that he could really hear my single side exit Gibson.
After we got to about 60 or so, I backed off and he kept going like he had won the race.
What I was thinking is that: these guys could race their buts off and no one would really even notice. However, if I were to really get serious on the street and fully race a "worthy" opponent it would attract a lot of attention and most likely be inappropriate for the street.
I save my serious racing for the strip.
(Well, most of the time anyway)
