Subject: HELP.. Someone please advise

My 1990 dak has 111,000 miles on the orginal V6. I have a few mods: headers, K&N filter, flowmaster duals, no cat, Jacobs Omni mag ignition, etc. My engine is terrible at low RPMs. I live In Gainesville, FL, a college town. Lots of traffic. So crusin anything less than 20 mph is rough. My engine wants to stall. It surges, then drops down to nothing. Its about a half and half chance whether it shuts off or it keep running. Please help me.
Thanks.

Have you run a compression check on the cylinders, and checked the cap/rotor for cracks/burns? My old truck had low compression in a few cylinders and had similar problems, but they could also be caused by problems with the ignition system (hence checking the cap/rotor and plugs).

Thanks Todd. Ill look into that. I was wanting to get a new cap/rotor NEways. About the compression test, where can you get them?
I am worried about the ignition. My truck goes in spurts. Sometimes its fine and not problems, other times, like today, it shuts off everytime I get under 700 rpms. I have heard of aftermarket ignitions going bad and draining batteries and stuff. Makes me wonder. Thanks for the help.
Any other possibilities would be great.
