Subject: door panel removal

I have a 2002 and am going to install new mirrors. Anyone remove the door panels and could give me some tips? Also, need a wiring diagram to adapt power mirrors, thanks

cant help you on the wiring diagrams, my advice for that would be get a haynes/chiltons manual..that should help...on the 99 club cab (i think most are similar or exactly the same) there are 2 screws in the bottom of the door panel to remove, one behind the door grab handle, and one behind the door opener handle. unbolt them all, and lift straight up. door panel will come out with a little pulling, then reach behind, loosen the connecting rods from the door lock button, and the door opener handle, then if you have power windows/door locks, push a small metal clip behind the mounting panel for the switches, loosen that, and pull the panel through the hole sideways. and you should be done.
