 Subject: experiences with engine light

I have a 2001 v6 with 35,000 miles and my engine light came on with no warning. I have not yet replaced spark plugs or any sensors. Any suggetions or comments would be aprreciated.

bring it to auto zone they have free diagnostics, they can tell you what the engin light came on for otherwise bring it to the dealer they will charge 40 buck to do the same thing, i have an 01 QC 4.7 my engin light is on too, i have a bad O2 sensor, cant aford to buy one right now,anyhow good luck

Hi I had a cracked gas cap that made my check engine light come on on my 2001 slt quad cab 4.7 engine

I had my check eng light come on after constantly using cheap gas, I ran some of that injector cleaner through a tank and the light went off before I had to refill.

I had the gas cap engine light come on as well at one point. One thing i would try is removed your battery cable, let set for a few minutes reconnect. See if light comes on again.
