you're making fun of my lack of mechanical knowledge??...ok i dont know how to build a fast car...you got me...im so hurt. i think it needs better tail lights. as far as speed goes, i just wanted something that is good for having fun during mourning traffic on the LIE(long island expressway for all you texans and what not). i wanted an automatic with decent gas milage that has some power...and that is exactly what i got. i made a mistake on my dak...not that i dont like dakotas(or else i wouldnt be here)but mine just wasnt the right vehicle for me at this point in my life. i dont know why everyone who likes rice hates american cars and vice versa. i like some of both sides. cant we all just get along. and u guys act like i spend so much time on this board...10 minutes everyother day is a lot of time...right

First off, some ricers I like (Honda s2000, Nissan 350z, Toyota Supra, etc) but a Nissan SE-R, thats not one of them. You just don't know what you like or what you want. And we are sick and tired off listening to your "praises" of your new CAR. Like someone said before, this is a TRUCK board. Go find a ricer board somewhere and bug them.

Maybe, I'm just a little extra touchy-feely tonight, but I don't see any problem with LI's new Sentra. I actually think that Sentra's are an excellent little car...a lot of bang for the buck, or whatever, and a pretty good alternative to a Civic or a Focus. If I just needed something economical and fun to drive back and forth to work, I might even buy one. Personally, I don't care if you hang around LI, at least you provide some welcome entertainment and an alternative to the "what muffler should I buy for the 19-jillionth time" question. He's just providing us with a little good natured ribbing, so don't get your dander up at him too much...as long as you don't get too nasty, LI, I say you can still hang with us...OK?

There is nothing wrong with ricers? It sure is cool to have a tailpipe with more cubic inches than the engine, and chicks dig that continuous wet fart sound.

oh yeah...missed that...nah exhaust is too annoying and i really can't see my self scraping a hot dual chrome stock exhaust for a 7 inch od fart muffler that will most likely rob me of torque since the variable timing muffler is designed only to use both outlets when under hard acceleration so you dont lose low end power. CAI, header, chip....maybe one day...stickers(i love hp adding stickers(the R adds 25hp)lol). nah im gonna leave it stock for a while...maybe tints but not much more...im broke from dak gas milage anyway....13 mpg wtf. btw i have an airaid intake, stock exhaust, stock tape deck, 180 degree tstat and throttle body spacer laying around...if anyone is interested e-mail me. i assume the most any of you will want is the intake. ill give u a decent deal $60 or so.

lil black ricer, you are and always were a typical rice boy. even when you had the dakota. do you know why nissan made the sentra se r. because they know every stupid little punk like you would go go crazy over it just because it has the letter R in the name plate. you could have bought the base model,saved yourself a few bucks and the put the letter R next to sentra. isnt that the only reason you bought it,because it has an R in the name.please tell us what makes this "TYPE-R" nissan is so fast. and how did they fix the torque steer ? you probably dont even know what torque steer is. IDIOT

torque steer is when a front wheel drive car with a lot of torque jerks the steering wheel. it doesnt seem to be a big problem. I drove an 01 maxima and it was much worse. its not that fast cause its automatic...still will smoke most V6 and 4x4 V8 daks out there. What makes it fast is that it has 165hp 175lb ft of torque and weighs 2700lbs. its faster then a V8 4x4...ive driven both and this feels much quicker. told u guys i like rice and non rice but rice is cheaper higher quality and more reliable. You guys wanna see why it has an R... come race me and you'll see.

one more thing. 165hp and 175tq is nothing to brag about. my truck put down 190rwhp stock. thats more then what your motor puts out at the crank.

I think my old dak could have taken out you're wimpy ram qc...ahahahaha thats funny. whats the 0-60 on that ram 15??? even hemi rams only get to 60 in 8.3 seconds...wtf are you smokin. unless its supercharged i doubt u can beat me. oh and btw your truck weighs 4000lbs. if its a 2x4 then yeah, of course it can take me...couldn't take a spec v though. btw an auto qc ram runs a 17.1@79 with a 0-60 of 9.6. im at least a second faster on both numbers. maybe a 5 speed 4x4 rc can beat me...other then that....good luck. and even if u did beat me ill eventually pass u because daks can go 130 last time i checked.

I'll throw the weight vs power note in just for fun. The sentra will run 15's stock and few goods and the giggle 13's. Not to bad for 27-28 mpg. Get the car for fun and travel the truck for fun and work. Any how just have fun in both worlds.

i just read your long boring mod list...half those mods barely do anything but some do and with all that in there you damn well better be able to beat a 165 hp stock 4cyl auto.
lets do the math
rams stock 0-60 is 10.3
mine is somewhere between 7.7 and 8.3
rams stock power to weight ratio 20.9:1
mine is 16.8:1
In order to match my power to weight ratio the ram needs just under 310hp...a gain of close to 65hp...possible from all that crap he put in there. but i doubt even if it did add 65 hp you can match my top speed which is close to 130. so either way. I don't care and im not even sure you can beat me while getting your 12mpg. for what you put into that truck, my car would run with mustang GTs.

MY CAR IS STOCK, it also gets 23city 28hwy. its more agile...and it has a power moonroof...lol
if everyone wanted me to leave and i didn't like dakotas I would but since some people want me to stay and I am still interested in dakotas I'm gonna hang around this site.

You see lil man you're comparing apples and oranges. We're dealing with trucks and what trucks can do. We enjoy a bit of performance and utility. You have your cruiser which can't tow, can't get a load of dirt, gravel etc. Forget being able to cross mud, water etc.

thats not great gas mileage for that kinda car Ll Blackdakk. My alero has a V6 and gets 25 city and 32 highway..... plus it will run circles around any sentra (stock for stock). I will admit that i do like the sentra seR but dont care too much for the plain jane one... my assistant at work has one.
its obvious that a truck isnt for everyone... especially when you started out with the wrong truck. I think that if you had a regular cab V6 sport 5 speed you would of been a little happier. you just started off on the wrong platform.
well good luck with your car... at least its something you like now. personally i am waiting for the SRT-4 to come out and i am trading in the Alero to get it (fiance doesnt know that yet;-)

NO!!! i hate fart cans!!! I'm enjoying the quiet for now. As for the regular sentra...great gas milage but...BORING. As for the SRT-4 um I like the power but it costs more and I wanted an auto besides the fact that I trust nissans quality level more. from what ive seen of aleros, they are actually very comparable(possible slower). I don't know because I can't find the 0-60 or 1/4 mile of an auto SE-R and the times for the 5 and six speeds vary a lot. Some say the Spec V does 0-60 in 6.8 and others say 7.3 and I also read that the 5 speed SE-R can do it in 7.2 and 7.8(although the 7.8 might be an auto number) all I know is that when i tryed my 0-60(under very bad conditions w/o flooring it) it was well under 9 seconds even from a rolling start(although i think a rolling start suites this car better because its hard to control the wheelspin when u launch it.) I heard the auto runs a 16.2 with an intake. i dunno. Its much faster then my old heap though. and once again i don't have a boat...I should have bought an R/T.
