im installing a autometer water temp gauge in my 2001 r/t, i took out the old sending unit and put in the new one, hooked it up but now im getting an MIL light and its running like crap, what do i do with the old harness wire???? put a resistor in it?????

ummmmmmmm..... put the old sensor back in. The computer uses it, its there for a reason.
