Message: Changed upper and lower control arms on
2003 Dodge Dakota SLT. Airbag light
started coming on when I would turn the
wheel all the way in either direction.
Then progressed to coming on basically
anytime I turn the wheel or hit the
brakes. Now it stays on all the time. I
changed The two 10 amp fuses in cab fuse
panel just to try to fix it ( old fuses
were still showing good). Any ideas??

Message: First I would change out the clockspring. Easy with YouTube.
I've been trying to figure this out for five years. So today I
pulled out the gravity impact module located on the
transmission hump under the dash. Mine was accessible by
removing the cup holder and pulling back the carpet. I
unplugged the module, removed 4 (8mm) bolts. Then tapping
the forward face opposite the plug pins I could hear the gravity
ball move. I tested the module by plugging it back in and laid
on a level surface. Started the car, passed diagnostic test and
the light went out. If it happens again I'll get a new module.
