 Subject: Front diff 92 Dakota?

I have a 92 Dakota with a 3.9 engine. I found the the spider gears in the front diff had broken. I am trying to find out what make the front diff is and where a person can find gears other than the dealer. The research I have done shows it to be 7.25 Chrysler. Just wondering if anyone else has any other ideas

Unless the front diff. has been swapped,it is a 7.25. I have a brand new set of spiders still in an unopened box.Chrysler list is $292.00-let go for $233.60.

a 98 & a 92? you better throw in a front clip for the 100 bucks. not to mention the gears won't interchange.

I have the complete front suspension... you can have it all... seriously... out put shafts mounts for front diff... everything except upper arms...

The 98 suspension will not just bolt right up to a 92.Nor will the front diff is all I am sayin.
