EVery once ina while the truck will just crank endlessly, no spark, when I check for codes it says there is no signal from the Crank Position sensor, so I replaced it, adn the problem persists. Right after I put in the new one, it wouldn't work, then later that night, I tried it again adn if fired right up. Got home turned it off and I couldn't restart it, same code 54, no signal!!!
Please help!!!
Thanks
Greg

Message: Sounds like the problem is in the harness or the connector at the PCM. Had a similar problem, terminal backed out of the connector housing, same symptoms and set a code for the same sensor on my MY02 4.7.

Message: Wow,
thats amazing, because today I took that connection apart and it was incredibly loose, I cleaned it (along wiht the computer) out with electric connection cleaner, and coated with Di-Electric grease and I have not had the problem since... Thanks Dude!
