Okay, for some reason i was thinking that for a few months after 9/11 Dodge was offering a 7 yr 100K warrenty. Somebody tll me if I am wrong, and if not, where I can get more info on it.

Yes they did. I've got it on my '02 Dak. I know it was in effect until at least the end of March this year.

I think it started 11/1/01.
What I DO know is that it started AFTER I took delivery of my '02 Dakota on October 15, 2001.......

The 7 year is the powertrain warranty.
Bumper to bumper is still 3yrs.

It was definately after october, I took mine in 10/9/01 and bought a 4 year 75k mile extended warrentee. It covers bumper to bumper and is refunded if I don't use it ($1500). The 3/36 from the factory has less than 1.8/14 left on it.

It was not an add on,it was the oem warrenty I bought my truck april 1 '02 and was led to believe that it had the warrenty but all my warrenty info says 7/70. I haven't had to use it yet, but i thought i would head any problems off at the pass. That is why i am asking, sorry if it isn't exciting enough of a topic for you Dakfour, there are plenty of "exciting" threads.

I bought my 2002 Quad Cab on May 24, 2002 and the 7yr/100k was the warranty in effect at that time.

I'm not sure on the dates, but the 7/100 is NOT transferrable. they replaced it with the current 7/70 transferrable warrenty.... but there is *required* maintanence, if you can't prove the maintanence, you can be denied warrenty work.
