Subject: Silly question: Metric or SAE?

Message:
I am buying a 97 Dakota in about 2 weeks, however I would like to put together a tool kit for it while I can get the christmas specials. I just don't have it to check out yet, but I need to know: are the nuts/bolts metric or standard? Thanks for the response to a 'no brainer'. I would plead 'not having a brain', but I don't have the truck yet to check. Oh, I DO know that it will require some tork head tools also. However, will I need sockets or tork head screwdrivers [or both]?

Thanks again

All of the above....
Standard American and Metric, nuts, bolts, and allens.. plus some torx...

Have a '98 Dak CC 5.2, the first mod was a K&N FIPK... to my surprise I needed both American and Metric for the bolts and nuts, then I had to go dig out an Allen don't remember if it was metric or not.. Then we ran into torx head's while working on the sound system....

It seems like it depends on where the parts you are working on were manufactured..
