Message: Successfully changed transmission fluid.
50K miles on my DAK 2000 4.7 with 45RFE transmission.
Filters and Amsoil were purchased at a local auto parts store.
Beer was purchased at local grocery store.
Old fluid was very clean...
I took lots of pictures during the process...
They may help the next guy decide if he wants to try doing this himself.
Anyone know how to put them out there on someones web page??

Message: I decided to service my own transmission in my 2005 dodge Dakota. Auto Zone sold me everything I needed to do the job. I did it at 10pm and when I opened it up I found it had a spin on filter. I had to finish the job so I could drive to work in the morning, and didn't change the filter, after about 3 months my trans heat light has been coming on and it down shifts out of over drive, could not changing that filter be causing this problem? the engine oil temp is spot on not over heated at all
