I was thinking about putting tints on my front two windows to match the factory tint in back...does anyone know how difficult...if at all difficult it is to see at night with tinted front side windows?

Put on 20% tint that is what is on the back side windows. But to put it on take off the door panel and put the bottom of the tint about a 1/2" below the door panel when the window is in the up position. so that when roll up and down the window the tint wont come off.

most states you can't have visability less than 35% in the front windows. My Quad has a slight tint to the window already which has to be factored in. I had an Acura Legend that had 20% all around...after multiple tickets I had to remove the tint on the front windows (which isn't easy)and retint with 35%. Its no fun pulling up to sobrity checks and having NYSP stop you for your tint.

i can understand that but i live in illinois in the middle of nowhere and dont have to worry about the city life so we run straight headers and black tint and what we want.

My 01 Quad SLT came with the tinted windows, except for the driv. and pass. side of course, for the differing states laws.
Had the fronts tinted to match the shade(color) of the rears exactly. I got the fronts done for
$95, with a lifetime warranty. Also to the legal limit %.
NIce trick about the door panel, but they DON'T do that at the installation places, they just pull up the gaskets on the inside, run it down a little farther, and tell you not to roll it down for 1-2 days, to let it dry real good.
I do alot of things myself, like my intake, HO cams, etc., but many things I have professionally done, and for a good reason, this is a cosmetic thing that I'd rather have a shop that can match it exactly, does it all day long, and has a lifetime warranty.

my side windows are 4% and if your driving down a dark road you will have a hard time seeing left to right, but you get used to it

I had mine done at a local shop for less than $70 bucks. (well spent.)
Quad cab came with rear tinted at 20% ? I think.
they recomended to go one shade darker for the front. It makes it match better in the day.
it is a bit darker at night. I have had tinted windows for the last 12 years and am used to it.
be ready to roll down your windows on a cold night.
Also a tip for areas like mine, when you get pulled over roll the freakin windows down!
If the cop doesn't see them then you probably won't get a ticket for that and if you were pulled over something really good and he walks up to your car and can't see in, they get a bit nervouse and whos knows what they might do.

i got pulled over at the beach last summer and had my windows rolled down and the frickn cop made me roll up my windows and gave me a ticket!! i had my windows rolled down cause i knew cops at the beach are asses

i have a dakota cc and i have 5% on all the windows except the back i have 2 layers of 5%,and where i live theres also a place that will tint the windsheild 20% but i'm not about to do that,and if ya'll dont see how i see out the back window at night i can't,at night a roll my windows all way down and stick by head out the window(ace ventcura style)lol.
