Subject: manual transmission fluid - urgent IP: Logged
Message: Ok, here's the deal. I have a V6 5-speed which says to use 75w-90 GL-5 transmission fluid. Mobil 1 sells a GL-5 75w-90 synthetic gear fluid that I have been using in the manual tranny. In the summer it worked fine, but now in the winter second gear is a real bear until the tranny warms up. I called Mobil 1 and they said they do not make a Mobil 1 manual transmission fluid. I'm cornfused. Shouldn't the Mobil 1 synthetic gear fluid work in my tranny???? If not, i need to change it asap.
Thanks,
Brian
