Message: like what kind of problem?
I have a booster seat in the back right now and also take my brothers 6 month old with us when we go out. No problems at all with either seats fit or function.

Message: I lock them with the seat belt.
On the booster I put the seat belt around my daughter and lock it in as if it was an adult passenger.
With the child seat I have the seat belt goes through the back of the seat and locks in. After I lock the seat belt in I pull all slack out of the belt till it stops. This allows the seatbelt to not give any slack during normal driving and in an accident. When I put the child seat in I put my knee into the seat to push it down into the rear seat before releasing the slack as I said before. Then I lock my daughter in the seat with the two shoulder belts made with the child seat.

Message: I do it just like custman, and I have an 01 Quad.
There are anchors on the top of the rear seat, in the rear wall, if your seat has that ability, use those also.
Most child seats do come with the belt lock,(see child seat owners manual). I take out the slack like listed, and NO problems. With either the rear facing infant seat, or the forward Toddler seat.
Good luck, keep those little ones safe and sound.
ONE OF MY BIGGEST PET PEEVES- WHEN CHILDREN THAT SHOULD BE IN SOME SORT OF CHILD SEAT, AREN'T!!!!!

Message: Thanks for the info. I'll have to try pulling all the slack out again and hopefully it works. Otherwise I would imagine they are defected and need to be repaired. My wife is expecting twins so now of course I'm worried about safety. I was thinking I might have to trade the Dakota in.
