OK, have a 1990 2wd. Has 2in coil spacers. Am having trouble loosing lift due to my old springs. I am looken into having 3in lift coils made custom for my truck, not from TS.com. But I am also planning on a 318 install. So I want to make sure the springs are heavy enuf to handle the extra weight of the 318 over the 239. Can someone give me the strength of stock V6 and V8 springs. And any suggestions on what type of spring to use? Im not real worried about a soft ride. Im young, and want lift with no sagging. THX

Joe, you need to get ahold of FabTech they make springs to lift 2 wheel drive trucks..The V-8 springs are stiffer than the V-6 springs, because of the amount of weight placed on them. or try www.truckn.com which is Aim Industries.

Thanks for the reply Kev. Yeah I know the V8 springs are stiffer than the 6s. What I need is the actual spring rate of the V8 springs. So when I get ahold of a local spring shop, Ill know what to tell them.

Fabtech makes lifts for the Gen IIIs. I have a Gen I. No good there. Trust me, Id love a Fabtech lift. AIM ind. is what I refered to as TS.com in my first post. They do have a lift for my truck. But I have not heard much good of them. I have bought from them little parts, shackles, etc. but I need to make sure they are strong enuf for the V8s weight.
Thanks for te reply. Every bit helps.
Have a nice day.
