Subject: Wiper Speed Tweek? IP: Logged
Message: I'm sure you all have noticed - the wiper sweep frequency adjustment (intermittent) is whacked at the high end. You start at the lowest setting, and as you rotate the knob to increase sweep frequency, the frequency increases in very small increments - until you get to the highest-frequency setting, which is nearly the same as the normal low-speed setting (non-intermittent). This really bugs me - especially because the speed(s) I need are between the highest and second-highest intermittent speed!
Also, the detents for the different speed settings are too light; is this "normal"?
Is there a fix for this? I suppose the best thing would be to slow down the highest setting, if nothing else.

Message: I'm not sure what year Dak you have, but my wipers aren't set like that and the "notches" click as I rotate them into place nicely.
Mabey you should have yours looked at.

Message: My intermittent wipers have behaved that way since it was new, the dealer says it works correctly. Has anyone found a fix for this?

Message: I find by using Rain-X in my washer tank, I eliminate the need to use wipers most of the time. I dun seem to have the same problem as ya'll, but I can't think of any time that I've had them really fast.
