i am in need of a new vehicle really bad!!!!! my choice is the 2003 CC R/T. i am planning on putting my order in the first of the year.... i love the styling of the current dakota
but!!!!!!!!!???????
what happens if they DO put the 5.7 hemi in it????? im probably gonna want that.......
what would you guys do???????? would you wait to see what they do for the end of 03?????
but i need a vehicle bad........ so i dont think i can wait

I was in the same situation. Bad vehicle, wondering what the new 2004 style was gonna be... But I just went ahead and ordered the new truck, out of fear that they were gonna modify the dak to look like that new ugly ram. Good thing I did too, cuz it'll take "6 to 10 weeks" from the factory, and my truck is on it's last leg. I say go ahead and order.

i was at a dealer and asked about the hemi in the dakota and they said "summer of 2003" but you can never trust a salesman.

Do yourself a favor and drive a Sport Plus 4.7 "semi-hemi" 5-speed w/3.92 gear. THEN decide if you still want an R/T.

If you are so unsure of what to do, I think you should wait it out. Why spend 20k on a truck now and then find out you want a 2004. The depreciation on your 2003 in a year will kill you when you go to trade it in after 6 months or a year.
Like that other dude said, get a cheap used car for a couple grand until you know where you want to invest the big $$.

if you can wait long enough you will make out either way. if they put the hemi in the 04's you can get it, and if not, they will probably cut you a killer deal on a 03
