 Subject: Ball Joints.

I was just wondering what a good price range is for the two lower ball joints installed. I had a shop quote me $900.00 for them.. I told him to shove it, but the jerk also said I need a tranny, coolant, rearend, and power steering flush. When they were all done about 2000 miles ago. Just looking to see what anyone else has paid.

sounds like that shop is trying to take all your money. the ball joints are only $40.00 to $45.00 each. should not charge over $300.00 to a max of $400.00 to do the job. you already had the fluids changed so you dont need them again so soon.
make sure you get moogs ball joints they are greasable. i changed upper and lower balljoints and the tie rod ends myself this summer. just took some time and the proper tools.

Nate.....if you are mechanincally inclined, chaging the lower ball joints shouldn't take more than 3 hours for both. Save the money and do it yourself.
