Lawrenceville huh? That's where I live too... well lived. I live in Buford now by Lake Lanier. I used to live w/ the drummer of our band off of Old Peachtree Rd. But I'm in Lawrenceville all the time cause everyone from my band lives up there. (all of 5 minutes away from buford) lol.

Ever go to Jackson dragstip? I lived in Augusta for 4 years and just moved to Indiana in Oct (don't miss it a bit, but do miss that 1/4 mile dragstip).

Robbie, that's pretty bizzare. I'm only ~2 miles away from Old Peachtree Road in Lawrenceville (very close to the Mall of GA). What kind of music does your band play? And where?
My dakota is still pretty stock (just bought it used a month ago), but I have some plans for after X-Mas!

I used to run my Mustang down there a pretty good bit, but I sold it recently...Were you at Ft. Gordon?
That's where we held our Mustang Club meetings.

Yeah, I was at Ft. Gordon. I hit Jackson every time I could get off work. Haven't been since May though, and I'm about 9 hours away now! I've raced a lot of Mustangs up there. There was one in particular I would run every time I was there. Was a 91? grey GT? His ex-roommate had a twin-turbo RX7. Anyway, I have the blue 92 RC sport. It's the ultimate sleeper... Runs high 13s.
Did your times drastically drop (for the better) after they re-did the track last year?? I dropped .25 from my best run in 2001 with no changes at all.

Yes they did improve...The first time I ran the truck up there it was bone stock...Turned a 15.3@88mph.
Next trip out, they had just resurfaced, I added fatter tires and traction bars. 60ft time dropped to a 2.0 from a 2.2 and ET fell to 14.86 @ 91mph.
The track has gotten slick again this year already...Went back a couple of weeks ago and ran...Couldn't do any better than a 2.2 60ft.
I'm sure I must have seen you down there. I know there used to be a white sport in the 13's down there. I don't usually have a lot of time to watch the races down there though, if I'm not running one of my vehicles, I running someone elses.
I had a RED 1991 LX coupe..with weld bigs and littles. Nothing spectacular.
It's a shame we didn't know each other while you were in Augusta, there are a couple of us Dakota guys that run down there fairly often now.

I remember a red LX out there. Did you change your tires when you got there?? This guy did.
My 60' times were always 2.2. Had to roll on the throttle or I would spin a 2.5!
Yeah, too bad I missed you all. We had a good time beating unsuspecting Mustangs, Z28's, oh, and that twin-turbo RX-7 (yeah, I got him..). The crowd goes nuts when a "stock" truck rolls up and whoops on those cars that are supposed to be fast.

I've got about 11 years over you.LOL But I appreciate all kinds of music. In fact one of my favorite bands right now is Linkin Park. And I got to see and go back stage and meet Joe Satriani back in 1989 during the "Surfing with the Alien" tour when he played at CenterStage here in Atlanta. Heck yeah! That's so wierd you bring him up... I put Time Machine Disk II in on the way home tonight. I could go on and on about Satch... what a guy.
