Message: My 1988 Dodge Dakota 4X4 3.9L V6 is getting a new engine next week. Her engine lasted along time but it is now time for a new one. I just ordered a Jasper Reman 3.9L V6.... hope it does as well as the original. What kind of mods should I do to it that won't cost a fortune? A chip? I was just wondering what everyone thinks.

Message: My volvo has 344595 on the odometer. The odometer quit two years ago. Approx 400,000 now original tranny and motor. Still runs like a top. No a/c, defroster, heat works slow, missing one hub cap.

Message: Jasper Engines are better then OEM!!! THey have an GREAT WARRANTY!!! IF you modify it and they find out they will void the warrany. Magnuson Moss act be dammed!! If you realy want to modify it ask them if they have a HP version. Jasper makes HP as well as OEM style engines. The most I would do is a nice cam, intake manifold, chip and good exhaust. The V6 is not meant to put out alot of power. If you realy do not care about long term durability then you should talk to BERND he has the hotest Dodge V6 I have ever heard of!!!
