I just bought a '94 Dakota and want to change the mirrors. How do I remove the the handle to lower the window and the cover around the door lever so I can remove the door panel?

There is a small retaining clip that holds the window handle on. If you have some needle nose pliers you can push in on the door panel enough to create space to pull it off. If you dont have those pliers, then i have done it before with just a screw driver... you can push the clip off from one side. Puttin back on is much harder than gettin it off. good luck

well if i remember right there is a small plastic clip that holds the door lever onto the connecting metal bar that actually opens the door. you can pop off that clip very easily with you fingers or a screw driver and then that metal bar with come right off of the door lever. that is what is holdin the door handle on... that clip and metal bar. just take a look i think youll see what i mean...... clear as mud right??
